Atlantic poor soil thickets
Deciduous thickets of Western Europe and western and northern Central Europe formed by Rubus spp., Frangula alnus, Sorbus aucuparia, Corylus avellana, Lonicera periclymenum, Cytisus scoparius, characteristic of forest edges, hedges and woodland recolonisation developed on soils relatively poor in nutrients, usually acid, mostly under climates with strong Atlantic influence. Substitution communities of the Quercion robori-petraeae (c.f. units T1B11-T1B6, parts of T1B7 and of G4.71 of EUNIS 2012).
