Del gr. Atlantikós, -ē´, -ón; lat. Atlanticus, -a, -um = del Atlas (cordilleras del Magreb) [gr. Átlas, -antos m.; lat. Atlas, -antis m.] // del océano Atlántico. En Ophrys atlantica Munby (Orchidaceae), evidentemente, del Atlas.
