Fenno-Scandian pioneer rock swards

Pioneer communities colonizing thin debris soils and cracks of rocks, cliffs and rock pavements of xerothermic enclaves of the boreonemoral and southern boreal zones of Norway, Sweden and Finland, mostly limited to coastal regions, southern slopes and alvars. Some of the communities share physiognomic and ecological characteristics with the Central European communities of unit R1B5.
