Association with Zostera noltii in euryhaline and eurythermal environment on sand

The association with Zostera noltei develops in lagoons that are subject to wide ranges of salinity, on varied loose substrata, from sand to mud, either at the entrances to the lagoons (graus) or even within the lagoons, where it develops monospecific phanerogam populations. It withstands a certain amount of hydrodynamics but is very sensitive to eutrophication, turbidity and pollution of the water. Given its wide potential, it constitutes the epiflora of various habitats. In the case of this association of the euryhaline and eurythermal lagoon biocenosis, the fauna is rich and is made up of brackish water species of the biocenosis to which it belongs with some addition of marine water species.
