22-06-08 Arosa-Caldas de Reis. En una zona rural muy arbolada, dando un pasein al anochecer observamos un minusculo resplandor en un lado del camino, solo pudimos ver una, parece que están desapareciendo, hacÃa muchisimo tiempo que no las veÃamos.La luciérnaga emite luz mediante un fenómeno llamado bioluminiscencia. En la fase de larva es un gran depredador de babosas y caracoles; en la fase adulta no se alimenta.Espero os guste.Saludos para tod@s

Eso me parece mas al Lampyris iberica (descubierta en 2007) disculpe por la info en inglés: Lampyris iberica Males: General colour brown ; the suture and marginal border including apex small but distinctly pale. Pronotum on both sides of the lateral posterior border, between the pale and brown regions, there is are small but clear, square, pinkish spots . Female : Posterior edge of the pronotum dominated by 2 red-pink spots. General colour brown. Pronotum narrow and no pink spots on the posterior edge of the prontum. Female: Posterior edge of the pronotum without a red-pink spot. General colour black.
